- Race begins at 2:02 PM. A Duck Race of approximately 40,000 to 50,000 rubber ducks with a grand prize of $10,000! The race will take place at 2:02 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014 at The World's Fair Park in Knoxville. The race benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley, serving over 6,300 members at 17 Clubs in Knox, Blount, Loudon, and North Anderson Counties. You can adopt a duck online, at ORNL , or Pilot. At 2:02 pm on race day, the rubber ducks are dumped from a dump truck into the water at World’s Fair Park and the race begins! Russell Biven of WBIR will be in the water to pull the prize winners as they cross the finish! You do not have to be present to win!
