Maryville Christian School

Why MCS?
Beyond academics, an education consists of a variety of experiences and values that your child will encounter in 13 years of schooling. In a given day, a child will spend as many hours around their teachers and peers as they do around their parents. Church attendance constitutes approximately 4 hours a week for most children, by contrast they spend close to 40 hours a week at school. Maryville Christian School is committed to providing not only sound academics, but a deep dedication to developing Christian character in the lives of students that will last for an eternity. Why MCS? The stakes are too high for our most prized possession, our children.

The staff and faculty of MCS understand the eternal impact of partnering with Christian parents in this important endeavor of preparing students for life, college, missions, discipleship, and employment. This is a journey we all value and are thankful to be a part of.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

About MCS
Since 1994, Maryville Christian School has served as an extension of the home and a partner with the church in Christian education. "Christian," is our middle name, and it controls and characterizes every aspect of school life. Scholastically, it means that the Bible will be a foundational textbook for every subject, for it is the source of TRUTH revealed by God which supersedes truth discoverable by human understanding alone. Relationally, it means that students will be guided toward personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, Friend, and Lord, a relationship that bonds faculty, students, and parents as a member of a single body. Vocationally, it means that students will be encouraged to seek and follow God's unique plan for their lives, the purpose for which He wisely and lovingly created and gifted them. Morally and ethically it commits the MCS community to a distinctive lifestyle, "blameless and pure... in a crooked and depraved generation" (Phil. 2:15).

MCS is an inter-denominational Christian school with an enrollment of over 321 students in Preschool through twelfth grades. Students come from 5 surrounding counties and represent over 70 area churches.

We have dual accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
